On Thursday, TPNN’s The Voice of Reason, Tim Constantine, hosted TheTeaParty.net’s tele-townhall with Congressman Jim Jordan, a staunch conservative and unapologetic Tea Partier.
Concerned Tea Party readers and listeners joined in to ask the Congressman questions about the state of our government and what could be done to reclaim power from a government that seems increasingly more and more at-odds with the fundamental principles of liberty in America.
Via telephone and social media, Tea Partiers peppered Congressman Jordan with questions to hear his take on a wide range of issues.
Constantine asked Rep. Jordan about Barack Obama’s ability to command respect on the world stage when dealing with leaders. Noting that the Obama Administration has continually claimed, “I am not weak, we are not weak,” Constantine asked, “Do you see our president and the way he’s conducting our foreign policy as weak?”
“Well, it seems to me that if you have to say it, that’s not what you want,” Jordan quipped. “So when you have to go out and say [that you’re tough], that’s not necessarily a good sign. Former Vice President Cheney spoke to a group of us a month ago… and he had just been back from his trip to the Middle East and he talked about his real concern, about how our friends and allies in that area are nervous based on what they’ve seen from this administration and he laid it out pretty good. [Cheney is] a guy who understands a little bit about foreign policy.”
