D.C. contractor accused of illegal campaign financing spent big bucks for Hillary

Guilt by association? Damn straight. Hillary’s campaign is not accused of doing anything wrong, and I’m not making that accusation either. What I am doing is pointing out the kind of people who so badly want Hillary to be president that they will spend this kind of money to want to make it happen.

There’s no argument to be made for Hillary that concerns the best interests of the country. She has noqualifications whatsoever that recommend her as a skilled leader, as a person with good policy ideas, as a person with a track record of achievement. Hillary’s pursuit of the presidence is about nothing more than satisfying her sense of self-entitlement. No one who gives a rip about the country will get behind that, so you need to get financial help from the kind of people who are happy to skirt the rules on behalf of politicians they can count on for favors.

That’s what Jeffrey E. Thompson is accused of doing in the Washington D.C. City Council race, and you can reasonably extrapolate that his thinking was the same when he spent $608,000 funding a get-out-the-vote effort for Hillary. The Washington Post:

senior official on Clinton’s 2008 campaign said no one in the campaign’s senior leadership or with budget-making authority knew about White’s independent canvassing campaign. Othersenior officials said they had never heard of White.
“I’m absolutely certain he had nothing to do with any of us,” said Garry Mauro, chairman of Clinton’s Texas campaign. “I was at the headquarters almost every day, I traveled the state, and I never heard of this guy.”
The allegations that Thompson secretly helped Clinton in Texas and at least three other primary states in 2008 are similar to allegations about activities surrounding the Gray campaign. Two of those states were North Carolina and Indiana, according to people familiar with the case. The fourth state was unknown.

Notice how the smartest woman in the world has a habit of being completely clueless

Have you noticed how the smartest woman in the world has a habit of being completely clueless when it serves her interests?

So here’s what I’m suggesting Hillary is guilty of: Being supported by people who cheat, because people who look to serve their own best interests ahead of those of the public tend to stick together.

There is no substantive case to be made for Hillary as president. The idea is patently absurd. So she can only be elected by building a campaign so powerful that no one thinks they can beat her, and that starts with raising lots of money. Where do you get such money? Not from people who care about the country. You get it from people who are willing to spend money to buy influence. People allegedly like Jeffrey E. Thompson.

This is the most unsurprising news story of the day. If you think the Obama Administration is bad - and it is - you haven’t even begun to see bad like what it would be like with this woman in the Oval Office.
